We are going to the Gemstone Capital of the World and working exclusively with one of the premiere gemstone cutting manufacturers located there. Earring Tutorial!

Want to make earrings...but just can't get it right? This, the first of many, tutorials...will help you out!

Tools and Supplies:

Round Nose Pliers (Try "Bead Original" Skinny line)

1 Pair Earwires

2 Headpins, 24 gauge, sterling 2" or longer

2 or more beads of your choice

Not pictured: Flush cutter, chain nose pliers.

Instructions:

1. Place beads on headpins as desired.

2. Grasp headpin with round nose pliers directly above bead (or beads). Use index finger to push wire straight back into a 90 degree angle.

3. Hold and control your beads! Grasp wire with plier 1/8" past the bend in the wire.

4. Roll wrist back toward yourself until wire is in a 90 degree angle facing the other direction and you have formed a half circle.

5. Keep plier inside the half circle!!! Grasp the remaining wire with your fingers and pull down and around the pliers into a full circle.

6. Remove pliers from circle. Regrasp circle with pliers and wrap excess wire 3x until it meets the beads.

7. Using chain nose pliers, open earwire and attach earring dangle. You're done!
